DANCE PARTY! Rocking, high energy dance party! Music and dance genre changes every minute - from ballet, to hip/hop, square dancing, hula, the twist, salsa/zumba, chicken dance, YMCA, Frozen, Macarena to disco! Line dancing, cupid shuffle, uptown funk, charlie brown and baby shark! Dance circle encourages dancers to show off their moves! Put on your smiles and dancing shoes - It's Better When We Are Dancing!
WATER FUN & GAMES: Splish Splash - Let's Get Wet! Today is all about water! Water relays/games: drip/drip drench, sponge toss, shaving cream, water buckets, super soaker tag, liquid limbo and a super soaker dance line! Watch out teachers - you could get wet!
CARDIO DRUMMING: One of our most popular camps! March to the beat of the latest fitness craze! Fast, upbeat, current music keeps students laughing and drumming towards better health! Students encouraged to create their own routines and lead the group. Get ready for an energized cardio drumming experience! Great for all ages! Let's get drumming!
TEAMWORK: A great class to start out the summer! Teamwork improves self-confidence, reduces bullying, teaches communication, social skills and sportsmanship. All very important skills as students return to school. Sled races, downward dog relay, tug of war, alligator/lifeguard, team yoga, pile up, birds & perches all encourage students to work together and be successful as a team!
SPORT STATIONS: Very popular camp! All ages welcome! Class is exciting and keeps everyone moving - no standing around! Sport stations include: football, soccer, baseball, field hockey, frisbee toss, hula hoops, gymnastics, tennis and an obstacle course. Students rotate thru the stations. Camp is designed for all age groups!
FROZEN ADVENTURES: A fun day with Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven and the music of Frozen. Run frozen relays, build Olaf , snowball toss, ice skating and dancing to your favorite Frozen and Frozen II songs! Let it Go and have some frozen fun!
NINJA WARRIORS: Create a HUGE obstacle course by using center's playground equipment or neighborhood park and adding Stretch-n-Grow's equipment. Run, jump and crawl through, around and over picnic tables, hoops, tunnels, agility ladders and gymnastic equipment to complete the obstacle course! Works on coordination, agility, balance and confidence. We are strong! We are fast!
BUBBLE MACHINE: Let's Make GIANT bubbles! Design bubble wands using recycled products, experiment and see which works best. Use sticks/strings to create HUGE bubbles - pictured above! Science question: Does wind play a factor in a bubbles size and strength?
SOCCER: Kick, run, pass and SCORE! In soccer camp, students will learn techniques, play a game of Bumper Ball - a fun, fast dribbling game and then team up and play a game!
SUPER HERO: Who is your favorite super hero? As a Super Hero, students fend off asteroids using Captain America shields, run relay races removing kryptonite in time to save Superman and, watch out, Hulk is getting angry and about to break out! We Save the World!
FIELD DAY: Ready, Set Go! Whole School Activity! Schedule your Old Fashioned Field Day today! Students rotate thru many activities: running, jumping, kicking, obstacle course, relays, races and timed events! All ages welcome - activities modified for toddlers. Medals awarded. This camp is $5.50/child.
FITNESS AROUND THE WORLD: Travel the globe: Germany, Mexico, Africa, Spain, Ireland, France, China, Greece, etc. Center chooses the countries and Stretch-n-Grow provides the traditional games and music! Participate in a bull fighting relay in Spain, learn the Chinese jump rope, Eiin-Zwein-Drei...Halt in Germany, and Bilboquet in France. Choose one country for one class or circle the globe for the whole summer!
MINUTE TO WIN IT: Can you BEAT THE CLOCK! Take on a task and see how you do! Sticky Nose, Shake 'em Up, Stacked Cups, Potatopalooza, Ping Pong Toss and the fabulously fun Cheeto Toss!
CHRISTMAS IN JULY: Join the Grinch and Rudolph to grow your heart to save Christmas. Hop, skip and jump "Who" houses, go on a Santa hunt, drive/ride in a sleigh to pick up and deliver presents from the North Pole and pick up Grinch fur which is all over the school - Oh so messy and stinky! Reindeer Camp is the most popular camp so it is fun to bring it to your center during the summer!
MINI GOLF: Miniature golf course created in your playground space. Up, thru and over obstacles. Plastic clubs, balls and scorecards provided. FORE!
PRINCESS & PIRATES: AHOY YE MATEY! We must find the hidden treasure chest! Build a boat and fight off sharks and sea creatures while sailing the seas! LAND HO! Walk the plank and swim ashore to battle land crabs. Find a treasure map and dig for pirate gold! ARGH - Watch out for Mr Bones - he loves to do a pirate sailor's jig!
SCIENCE IN MOTION: Science stations set up in playground area demonstrating centrifugal force, gravity, speed and acceleration. Students rotate thru the stations and answer scientific questions.
EXTREME GAMES: This action packed class involves continuous activity which incorporates endurance, strength, flexibility and motor skill development thru extreme, unusual and challenging games. Knock It Down, Blanket Run, Sponge Launch, Clothespin Tag, Hula Hoop Relay and Hulk Hands! Join the Fun - If you Dare!
BOOKS COME ALIVE! Lights, Camera, Action! Why just read a book when you can act it out! Everyone participates - puppets and props included.
